POSITION SCOPE

Heavy Equipment Mechanics will perform routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs on all the equipment. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine additional service needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Perform regular scheduled service to all equipment
  • Perform major repairs when needed to equipment
  • Document and discuss with supervisor any major repairs that are discovered
  • Maintain an orderly work area
  • Document all service work done to equipment
  • Mechanics are expected to supply personal tools
  • May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mechanical schooling preferred but will do additional training
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in related field
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rain
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of vehicles and heavy equipment repair
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment with minimal or no guidance
