Description of primary duties and responsibilities: |
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
Fayetteville State University (

FSU's Office of Strategic Communication (
OSC) is housed within the Office of the Chancellor. The
OSC is charged with planning, creating, and implementing communication strategies to engage target audiences to include prospective students, current students, families of prospective and current students, faculty and staff, donors, partners, decision-makers and the media. The purpose of the engagement is to increase enrollment, partnerships, support, and financial contributions, per FSU's strategic plan. |
Description of Work Continued: |
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Director of Marketing and Creative Services (
DOMMKTCS) will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of strategic marketing goals of the university. The successful applicant for this position will report to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Strategic Communications and work collaboratively with the
AVC of Strategic Communications and the Assistant VC for Events. Together, these leaders will elevate FSU's stature and positively position the university as a leader in higher education, nationally and internationally. |
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field and five years of relevant experience with demonstrated "hands-on" expertise in developing and successfully leading marketing and branding efforts, including emerging and traditional media.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: |

Preferred Qualifications: |
Master's degree from an appropriately accredited institution preferred.
Experience in higher education. |
