Yoplait Plant Level IV Processing Operator - Murfreesboro, TN

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for owning all processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of all processing equipment. This includes bulk tanker milk and sugar offloading, wet and dry batching, running HTST (High Temperature Short Time) pasteurization systems, fermentation and cooling processes, separation processes, CIP and COP sanitation processes, and adhering to strict Regulatory Guidelines as outlined in the PMO (Pasteurized Milk Ordinance), and in accordance with the State Regulatory Department (Tennessee Department of Agriculture).

Shift hours:

Currently hiring for 2^nd and 3^rd shifts

• 8-hour shifts
• 1^st shift: 5:50 am to 2:20 pm
• 2nd shift: 1:50 pm to 10:20 pm
• 3rd shift: 9:50 pm to 6:20 am
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Pay:

• Up to $32.83 per hour
• $31.61 per hour starting.
• Additional $.50 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift.
• Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift.

• Troubleshoot problems with machinery and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues.
• Calibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.

What you have to offer:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required
• All employees must go through a forklift certification course and are required to drive a forklift

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
• Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
• Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
