Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Manager manages all aspects of the organization's supply chain management and operations, including procurement, vendor relations, production, logistics, and distribution. Develops and implements plans for managing supply chain processes for production and operations. Overseas demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to ensure resource requirements are satisfied. Communicates with Company Executives regarding business needs to secure resources needed to satisfy customer demands and ensure delivery and/or implementation. This position will coordinate supply chain efforts between manufacturing sites within the business unit, 3rd party manufacturers and oversee SIOP and Strategic Sourcing initiatives at the Site level.


Responsibilities:


  • Hires and trains team members as needed.

  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.

  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the global supply chain management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the site level business to align and meet company objectives.

  • Oversee and manage import compliance for the site with support from Ingersoll Rand Compliance Department.

  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned such as SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) and Strategic Sourcing Initiatives to drive cost down and/or alignment between multiple sites.

  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.

  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.

  • Develops/revises policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.

  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.

  • Identifies new and negotiates prices with incumbents for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.

  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team or sustaining engineering team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.

  • Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required

  • 5+ years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.



Preferences:


  • Master's degree preferred

MIP Eligible Role:

The pay range for this role is $130,000-$150,000 excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
