Overview This position is sign-on bonus eligible. Atrium Health Mercy 4 North is a 20-bed adult Progressive Care / Step Down ICU unit is Atrium Health Mercy's newest unit. This is a great opportunity to join the Atrium Health family and to be a part of the growth and development of this exciting new unit! The patients in the PCU tend to have complex, chronic diseases and require complex nursing skills with diagnoses including sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, DKA, and intervention with titratable drips. Atrium Health Mercy is a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). Located 1.3 miles from CMC, Mercy is one of two Carolinas Medical Center locations. For more than 100 years, Atrium Health Mercy has treated approximately 80-110 Emergency Department and 130-212 in-patients daily with a special combination of human compassion and leading-edge expertise. Atrium Health Mercy is afull-service community hospital, specializing in the care of seniors and in complex foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee surgery, bariatric surgery, and women's pelvic health. Job Summary Provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with policies and procedures under the supervision of the supervisor and manager. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served. Essential Functions
Physical Requirements Education, Experience and Certifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. BLS required per policy guidelines. Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the department manager. |
