Overview

Join the HJF Team!

Join a prestigious research team at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, as a Biostatistician, and play a pivotal role in the groundbreaking PREVAIL study. This initiative focuses on predicting and preventing injuries in military cadets through advanced statistical analysis. You'll work with both retrospective and prospective data to uncover insights into the relationships between body composition asymmetry, gait mechanics, resilience, and injury outcomes in cadets undergoing rigorous training at this renowned institution.

The Biostatistician will provide biostatistical support for clinical and/or laboratory research. This involves performing statistical analysis on data collected from clinical trials and/or research studies. In this role, you'll design and implement sophisticated statistical models, analyze historical injury data to identify critical risk factors, and create forward-looking strategies to enhance injury prevention. Your work will involve preparing detailed statistical reports, contributing to impactful publications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of orthopaedic surgeons, researchers, and physical therapists at Keller Army Community Hospital. You'll also benefit from working closely with two premier research programs: the John A. Feagin Jr. Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and the Army Baylor Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship. This position combines intellectual rigor with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on military readiness and cadet health. Set in the picturesque Hudson Valley, the role offers an exceptional lifestyle with family-friendly communities, outdoor recreation, and proximity to the cultural richness of New York City.
