Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Calibration Technician to provide strategic direction and technical guidance to clients and team members. This role involves overseeing complex projects, managing client relationships, and driving business growth through value-added solutions. The Senior Technician will act as a subject matter expert, mentor junior staff, and take leadership in process improvement initiatives. The role involves travel to client sites and requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide the calibration, qualification, and PM activities with accurate GxP documentation.
  • Provide strategic direction to clients and PCI teams on technical issues.
  • Lead and manage projects, including planning, resource allocation, and proposal development.
  • Identify and implement value-added solutions for clients and manage client expectations.
  • Develop and update internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Take the lead on business development efforts and expand PCI's services with clients.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and provide guidance in troubleshooting and compliance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of calibration and instrumentation in various manufacturing and laboratory environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of GMP, GLP, FDA regulations, and calibration traceability.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and influence decisions at the client level.
  • Experience with a wide range of laboratory equipment (HPLC, centrifuges, RT-PCR, liquid automation, etc.).

Education & Experience:

  • A four-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related field PLUS
  • 4+ years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, or metrology
    OR
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Quality System/Pharmaceutical experience is required.
  • External certification (ISA, ASQ, etc.) preferred.
