Description
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee works on the hangar floor the majority of the shift and is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb ladders or elevated stands. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms as well as push and pull items. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Will be subject to initial and random drug screening The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal day-to-day working conditions are inside an aircraft hangar with good ventilation and airflow. Work may be regularly required in outside weather conditions where employees will be exposed to all types of environmental conditions and extremes such as hot, cold, rain, wind, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and the risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment including eye protection, ear protection, hand protection, respirators, masks, aprons, leather safety shoes, steel toe shoes, fall protection harness, and other equipment anytime the potential for hazards exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, confined spaces, toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation; and vibration.
