Job Overview:

Our Southern Pines Plant is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for leading our maintenance team in the Plant to ensure our operations are running efficiently.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all employees follow all Ingersoll Rand EHS requirements
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
  • Prepare daily and weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Recruit, supervise, train and develop maintenance technicians
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
  • Manage inventory of materials and equipment
  • Planning and scheduling regular maintenance tasks such as equipment inspections
  • Addressing emergency maintenance issues promptly
  • Coordinating with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work
  • Inspecting properties and equipment to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Apply, maintain and improve reliability system processes
  • Ensure operational excellence and problem solving by making recommendations to the facility leader


Requirements:


  • 2 or more years of experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • Microsoft experience including; Words, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Core Competencies:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must wear OSHA approved safety glasses, safety shoes (steel toe) and hearing protection entering the manufacturing and warehouse area.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of industrial communication and protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet/exceed performance parameters.
  • Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities as part of job and personal development.
  • Effectively and safely uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Must be resourceful, and a flexible, decisive, and proactive problem solver.
  • Must be able to work well in high pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation and must provide dedicated support of internal customer requirements.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, with ability to work on multiple priorities at once.


Preferences:


  • Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) preferred
  • High school diploma required and degree from a vocational school a plus
  • Electrical knowledge a plus
  • Familiar with 6s and supporting process improvements preferred.


Travel and Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This position will be based at our corporate offices in Southern Pines, NC, with minimal anticipated travel.
