POSITION SPECIFICATION

Position: Project Accountant

Department: Admin

Reporting Relationship: Controller

Location: Minnetonka, MN. This is not a hybrid position.

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

You would join an existing team of accounting professionals and be responsible for some of the daily accounting duties. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into overall business operations while performing core accounting competencies. If you are looking for a satisfying, rewarding opportunity, with a variety of duties, we are looking for you.

The position is fast paced, full time allowing for some flexibility of daily schedule while maintaining a "core hours" presence.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Project cost accounting.
  • Working closely with Project Managers to generate accurate client billings & collection of past due accounts.
  • Processing client invoices into third party portals.
  • Input and maintain project financial information in Deltek software.
  • Other accounting responsibilities as assigned by the Accounting Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, professional demeanor with a "can do" attitude.
  • Team-oriented and strong work ethic.
  • Proficient and accurate data entry skills necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, shift focus if needed to assist other staff.
  • Maintain a well-organized system to account for various information processed.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience highly preferred. Will consider other Deltek experience.
  • Experience within an A&E firm highly preferred.

Salary Range: $25.00 - 34.00/hour. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual qualifications, experience, work location, and education. This position is eligible for an annual bonus.
