Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Director of Nursing-Medicine & Rehab Services, Tisch Hospital/Kimmel Pavilion.

In this role, the successful candidate Provides clinical leadership and management of designated care areas on a twenty four hour basis consistent with the philosophy goals and mission of NYU Langone Health Assumes responsibility and accountability for all facets of nursing practice and performance within said designated areas and for meeting all pertinent organizational goals and targets Leads large scale organizational change efforts Develops fosters and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service staff growth and development quality nursing care and staff engagement and satisfaction

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, and evaluates programs for multiple nursing units or departments.   • Collaborates with the interprofessional team, leading the nursing division to ensure excellence in quality, patient experience, and efficiency.   • Oversees the development and implementation of interdisciplinary outcome standards. Leads interdisciplinary quality and performance improvement projects pertinent to departmental and organizational goals and objectives. (AONL-Business Skills & Principles)

  • Establish a financial plan and utilize data to make strategic decisions. Design the operational and capital budgets for the service line(s) (salary and non-salary where applicable), in conjunction with the clinical leaders; monitors expenses as balanced with patient volume and other indicators; and evaluates outcomes, making modifications and adjustments as indicated.   • Coordinates care delivery using labor productivity data to plan and evaluate staffing patterns, discharge and/or volume targets. Guides clinical leaders in planning and validation of staffing patterns. (AONL-Business Skills & Principles)

  • Coordinates and facilitates activities to promote service and interdisciplinary teamwork. Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State Doctoral degree in clinical nursing practice or research required Pertinent clinical knowledge preferred Certification in nursing leadership required Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators Excellent communication both oral and written interpersonal organization critical thinking problem solving and leadership skills Minimum 5 years Leadership or supervisory experience.

Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $166,246.32 - $259,131.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
