As a Software Product Engineer focused on PLM Integration and Manufacturing Processes, you will bridge the gap between our engineering design data and the manufacturing floor. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that designs from PLM and eBOMs are accurately and effectively translated into detailed work instructions, quality assurance steps, and production schedules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT, to drive seamless integration and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to gather requirements for translating design data into actionable manufacturing instructions.
  • Develop and maintain product vision, roadmaps and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives and manufacturing requirements.
  • Design software workflows to validate, and optimize detailed manufacturing work instructions, quality steps, and schedules based on information from PLM systems and eBOMs.
  • Work with IT and software development teams to customize and enhance PLM tools and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to support integration.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze business process and software usage data to identify areas for process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on new processes and instructions.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve any issues related to design transfers and process implementation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our processes and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLM systems, eBOMs, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Experience with software development and customization related to PLM tools and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with GenAI in a software development context
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or engineer to order in a strict regulatory environment
  • Experience with ISA-95, AS9110
  • Experience across multiple manufacturing domains, materials, operations, maintenance, etc.
