Industrial Automation Engineer

Key Role:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control systems. Leverage expertise in Rockwell Automation platforms and electrical design tools. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions. Work with minimal supervision, mentor and guide junior team members, and provide technical leadership in complex projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with Rockwell Automation or Allen-Bradley platforms
  • Experience in AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ability to create and modify control system designs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering or automation field

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with PlantPAx Distributed Control Systems
  • Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools
  • Experience with Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), including ISA 5.1 standards
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP
  • Knowledge of electrical standards, including NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, and UL508A
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems
  • Possession of strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
