Position Title: Contract Study Manager Assistant

Position Summary:

The Contract Study Manager Assistant will work as a member of a centralized Innovation Capabilities team, partnering with R&E customers to manage and conduct consumer research and product testing involving human subjects. This opportunity is a good fit for a candidate with experience in market research, consumer research, or user experience research. The Contract Study Manager Assistant will be responsible for assisting with implementing, overseeing, and interpreting research studies for internal customers in North America across existing client brands. These may include but are not limited to online testing, product use testing, surveys, focus groups or other research methods. This role may work with our client's customer facing research facility as well as with market research partners across North America.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist with executing, and interpreting product use testing - supporting various internal customer projects.
  • Assist with managing partnerships with external vendors and internal support teams to ensure smooth and high-quality study implementation.
  • Communicate and document study options/risks, plans, and results to key customers.
  • Advise and help direct others on developing study protocols and options to mitigate risks to human subjects.
  • Assist with managing partnerships with external vendors and internal support teams to assure high-quality study implementation.
  • Assist with guiding the research community in responsible, ethical conduct of research with human subjects.
  • Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.


Core Areas of Accountability:



  • Manage logistics and execution for assigned studies, working with support teams to ensure study execution meets researcher/project needs.
  • Conduct Human Subject Testing, ensuring study design and execution meets researcher/project needs.
  • Ensure human subject testing meets critical business needs and escalate resource or technical issues as needed.
  • Understand key strategies for human testing and execute work that aligns with these strategies for assigned studies.
  • Provide technical expertise in human subject testing methods and study management tools for both generative and confirmatory research methods.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key customers and stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as market research, consumer research, user experience, experimental psychology, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 1 year of work experience in consumer research or product testing. Relevant experience or education may be substituted.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically assess, discuss, and present research study protocols, data, and insights.
  • Strong leadership, positive interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills with experience in developing and executing consumer research protocols.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects with competing timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as market research, consumer research, user experience, experimental psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Certification specific to market research or consumer research organizations.
  • 1-5+ years of experience in consumer research and a thorough understanding of common research methodologies.
