Northern Air Cargo (NAC) is a scheduled cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska. As the largest all-cargo airline in Alaska, NAC operates a fleet of 17 Boeing 737-300s, -400s and -800s, and Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft throughout our network, including Alaska, Hawaii, Continental U.S., the Caribbean and Central & South America. The airline operates out of primary bases at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, the Daniel Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, and the Miami International Airport.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supports the maintenance of inventory control and integrity, records/data accuracy, and compliance processes within department database/applications per General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Materials Management Manual (MMM) policies and procedures.
  • Tracks and reports assigned initiatives' progress and results to materials & logistics leadership and business unit leaders.
  • Maintains full understanding of materials/supply chain related requirements of each supplier/order agreement such as exchange/loan/borrow rates, terms and conditions. Escalating contractual issues and discrepancies to department stakeholders.
  • Supports operations in resolving inventory or orders management related requirements or issues.
  • Ensures all internal program documentation is properly accounted for, organized, processed, and conforms to acceptable standards as per department and/or company policies and procedures.
  • Assists department stakeholders on addressing materials related transactions with aging exceptions, aging receipts, missing invoices, and overdue delivery dates.
  • Collaborates with department stakeholders and external vendors on the status of open core exchanges and/or return loan/borrow orders and ensures all orders are fulfilled or closed within agreed upon terms and conditions.
  • Participates in problem solving and contributing towards the development and implementation of process improvements within the materials logistics organization.
  • Provides administrative assistance including but not limited to; monthly expense reports and reconciliation of concur expense accounts, updating orders status/tracking information, attendance and scheduling adjustments/approvals, recording meeting minutes, coordinating and/or preparing meeting agendas, reports or other related meeting materials, direct handling of routine or critical follow ups, queries or agendas via email or telephone, communicating daily status and department related concerns to management.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work environment and operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines with high productivity and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to respond to change or multiple work demands.



  • Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)



  • Verbal and written communication skills with professionalism and accuracy.



  • Must possess strong teamwork skills.



  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70lbs utilizing proper equipment or assistance.


  • Ability to deliver regular and predictable attendance.

  • Successful completion of all operation required training and tests, including hazardous material handling.



  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history records check and security threat assessment.



  • Must be able to work a schedule accommodating a 24/7 operation with minimum supervision. (e.g., holidays, weekends, or non-traditional hours



  • Ability to work overtime on short notice when operationally necessary.




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or other related degree OR 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics management or purchasing and procurement OR combination of education and experience.
  • Previous airlines experience in materials management preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Most work is performed indoors in an office setting.
  • May occasionally work from an aircraft hangar/warehouse type setting or outdoors.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels, dirt, dust, fumes, etc.
