The MU Health Care Career Institute is offering an exciting opportunity for employeesto advance their careers with free training to become certified medical assistants! Ten people will have the opportunity to receive fully paid education and support throughout their entire career advancement program. Q: I am an employee of the University, but not with MU Health Care - am I eligible? Q: What is the process for selection? Q: Who will provide the education & training for the Medical Assistant position and where will classes be held? Q: What type of support will be provided to me if I'm selected? Q: How long does this educational program last? During the latter part the program, candidates will job-share hours with an outpatient, clinical department [outside of their home department] to receive approximately 24 hours/week of paid, hands on training. The remainder of your hours will be worked within your home department and youwill maintain your current full time, benefit eligiblestatus. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be placed by Clinic Leadership into a Medical Assistant role in anoutpatientarea based on the needs of the organization at that time.
