Image Process Engineer

Belcan is seeking a talented Image Process Engineering professional to join our exciting team with focus on Avionics Systems and Defense Products. This position is currently available in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a direct, part-time position (8-24 hours per week) without benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, and a minimum of 8 years of experience within the aerospace industry, specifically with image processing experience. Domain experience in Guidance or GPS, Navigation and Controls, Displays, Communications is preferred.

Job duties:
Candidates will be involved in leading and providing oversight for various engineering tasks including:
* Technical consulting in the areas of imaging infrared sensor image processing, computer vision and object detection/discrimination.
* Evaluation of solutions and providing change recommendations.
* Developing new techniques for evaluation, implement, and test prototype solutions.
* Facilitating communication and deliveries with customer team.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics, or related technical discipline and 2 or more years of relevant radar signal and/or image processing experience.
* 8+ years with analog signal and/or image processing.
* Experience coordinating technical efforts on several smaller projects in concurrent operations or on portions of larger, multi-phase, multi-disciplinary projects.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results.
* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a hourly range of $60.00 to $90.00 per hour.
