  • Estimated annual base pay: $64,080(minimum) - $80,100(midpoint) - $96,120(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Operations Engineer 1 reports to Technical Leadership and provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. The role supports production from a technical standpoint.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Has a comprehensive understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • Supports the manufacturing floor with any process-related questions
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and updates work order documentation
  • Supports the implementation of basic engineering changes
  • Understands Six Sigma and lean tools for process improvement and learns the steps involved to incorporate process improvements
  • Supports new capital equipment purchases and implementation
  • Supports cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
  • Adheres to applicable Quality System requirements
  • Supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Learns from more senior Operations Engineers

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Science or international equivalent required
  • Previous internship experience in a related industry is highly preferred
  • No prior professional experience is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic presentation abilities, general computer proficiency, and basic technical writing skills
  • General Six Sigma knowledge; basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • General troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; general understanding of Root Cause Analysis
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • General understanding and ability to read electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings
  • Manufacturing Engineering: general understanding of applicable manufacturing processes; ability to apply advanced knowledge of capability studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; general understanding and ability to read product drawings
  • Industrial Engineering: general understanding of applicable manufacturing processes; ability to apply advanced knowledge of capability studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; general understanding and ability to read product drawings
