Duties and Responsibilities |
This position primarily provides administrative and transactional support to Human Resources.
- Provide exceptional front-line service and support to faculty, staff, students and retirees contacting Human Resources by responding to inquiries efficiently, with a problem-solving approach. This includes redirecting inquiries to the appropriate team member or university office for assistance and resolution as necessary.
- Facilitate and respond to various verification requests for employment, loans, benefits, and other requests.
- Enter and maintain data within the HR/Payroll system and across other systems.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and respond to general benefits questions from employees.
- Reads and routes incoming mail; prepares outgoing mail and correspondence including email and inter office mail.
- Orders and maintains office supply inventory.
- Arranges for office equipment repair and maintenance.
- Prepares financial records such as payment requisitions; expenses reports and procurement card records.
- Conducts research, compiles, and creates reports, composes correspondence, takes notes and performs similar administrative tasks.
- Assists with and supports HR website content changes.
- Supervises student workers.
- Assists with ad hoc projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
