Pay Range: $89,000 - $126,000

Job Overview:

The Strategic Cost Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely product cost analysis, accurate product costing for new and existing products, and supporting the standard cost roll. This role requires a deep understanding of cost accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role will work cross functionally within the organization to ensure all projects use accurate product costing.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Build concise cost analytics and bring required visibility/ modelling to help business take appropriate business decisions
  • Responsible for the delivery of cost analytics processes to the business
  • Ensure accurate product cost allocation to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
  • Unit cost analysis for benchmarking performance and driving cost competitive initiatives
  • Participate in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Drive finance culture, people and processes and be a change agent for the organization
  • Lead cost analysis on business cases of all types (make vs. buy, resourcing, cash implications, etc.)
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal finance and accounting policies and procedures
  • Coordinate analyses, reporting, and forecasting support for capital investments
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (strongly preferred) or equivalent experience.


  • MBA or CPA license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of strong related experience is required


  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Excel.
  • Some travel, evening and weekend work may be required.


Competencies:



  • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Expertise in product costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data.
