Inertial Aerospace Services, Inc. (IAS), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Payroll Clerk/Human Resource Assistant position at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio. This position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Payroll Processing:

    • Accurately calculate and process bi-weekly/monthly payroll, including overtime, deductions, and taxes.
    • Verify timekeeping data and address discrepancies.
    • Generate and distribute paystubs and other payroll reports.
    • Maintain payroll system and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.


  • HR Administration:

    • Assist with new hire onboarding process, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, and orientation.
    • Manage employee data in HRIS system, updating personal information and employment status changes.
    • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, policies, time off, and general HR matters.
    • Coordinate employee leave management, including vacation, sick leave, and FMLA


  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with employment laws regarding payroll, benefits, and employee records.
    • Monitor and update company policies and procedures as needed.
    • Assist with I-9 form completion and verification


  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Generate regular reports on payroll costs, headcount, and employee turnover.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights for HR decision-making.


  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with HR manager to support recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
    • Collaborate with accounting department to ensure accurate payroll data integration.
    • Provide clerical support to other departments as assigned





Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Proficiency in payroll processing software (e.g., ADP, Paychex)
  • Experience with HR information systems (HRIS)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels
  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resource and payroll records
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen



Education:



  • Associate's degree required or equivalentbookkeeper / payroll clerk experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and payroll processing
  • Experience working in an office setting
