Job Summary

The Marketing and Event Planning Specialist will play a key role within the Meridian marketing team. This position is responsible for planning and organizing events, executing marketing activities, and supporting distributors and field sales teams with various marketing functions. Additionally, the role includes project management responsibilities to ensure the successful and timely execution of marketing campaigns and events.



Key Duties

* Organize and coordinate marketing events such as conferences, webinars, and trade shows
* Manage and track event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI optimization.
* Communicate event plans, timelines, and deliverables effectively across departments.
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pre-conference lead generation strategies for event attendees, including researching and providing additional promotional opportunities for the specific tradeshows (posters, talks, networking events, branding etc.).
* Ensure post-event management of lead-follow, including ensuring leads are loaded into the CRM for sales follow, and conduct post event analysis including attendee feedback, lead generation metrics, and ROI evaluation. Report out to leadership on event performance and recommendations for future attendance.
* Support the marketing team with project management and planning, implementation, and monitoring of webinars and third-party vendor sponsorship buys.
* Manage vendor relationships and projects- ensuring the vendor is meeting deadlines and deliverables.
* Coordinate the printing of marketing materials and collateral.
* Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs.
* Learn and use the project management software like Monday.com; ensure all activities across the team are tracked on the platform and responsible for ensuring the team adheres to deadlines.

* Ability to lift and carry 15-20 lbs for some distances while assisting with conference and/or meeting setup and breakdown.
* Ability to climb stairs.



Qualifications

* Education: University degree is desirable
* Experience: 4+ years of relevant business to business (B2B) professional experience in tradeshow planning and marketing preferably in the Life Science and/or Diagnostic industry.

* Superior organizational, communication and time management skills.
* Attention to detail

* Ability to adapt to changing demands whilst operating under pressure to meet deadlines
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, as well as the capability of working independently with guidance.
* Demonstrated experience working with tradeshow vendors on sponsorship packages and opportunities
* Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
* Knowledge of relevant marketing tools and applications is desired.

* 25-30% travel may be required.
