SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to provide architecture, design, implementation, monitoring, and management support of secure information systems to ensure maximum uptime, security compliance, and performance for users and mission. This position is aligned with the Operations Research and Cyber Analysis (ORCA) division and located on site in Dahlgren, Virginia. The role will include designing secure system configurations, documenting, and managing the deployment and installation of hardware, software, and cybersecurity tool sets, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems with up to 20% travel to support remote events. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, providing technical solutions to meet the requirements of the SPA ORCA division and clients. #MC Responsibilities Responsibilities of the System Engineer will be to 1) Design and implement new system solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current information systems, 2) Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and support information systems, to include both physical and virtual, 3) Maximize performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting, 4) Accurately document instances of equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal, 5) Investigating faults in the systems, perform analysis, diagnose, and resolution of complex problems, and recommend and implement corrective actions, 6) Coordinate services, troubleshooting, and resolutions with 3rd party transport providers, 7) Perform capacity analysis and planning to ensure growing user base and processing demand, 8) Coordinate and execute scheduled upgrades, 9) Reporting system status to key stakeholders, 10) Accurately document and maintain ATO documentation including standard operating procedure development, artifact creation, submission of artifacts to ISSM and/or government representatives, 11) Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for monitoring and responding to Cybersecurity continuous monitoring requirements (SIEM, Log review, validation of security controls, etc., 12) Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring system operations, 13) Interface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed, and 14) Travel will be required to support remote client events, up to 20%. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
