The Accounting Supervisor's primary responsibilities will be to manage a multi-function team of employees, ensuring the work is completed effectively, efficiently, and in line with company goals and policies. Other duties will involve various monthly meetings, overseeing SOX controls, and providing various reports for management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organizing deadlines, assigning tasks and setting priorities for each team
  • Review various monthly reports for each team
  • Attend various weekly and monthly meetings
  • Prepare various reports and updates for upper management
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review monthly AR netting process
  • Monthly AR Allowance review
  • Journal entry review
  • Review/prepare monthly expense reporting and analysis
  • Review all reverse/rebills processed by AR Accountants
  • Assist owner relations with owner inquiries
  • Review escheat and stale date check process for AR & Nonop
  • Provide guidance and feedback related to team goals ensuring they are in line with company culture and values
  • Evaluating and documenting of team and individual performance
  • Assist in organizing team events to drive positive culture and collaboration

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in accounting or an equivalent degree
  • At least five (5+) years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least five (5+) years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong working knowledge of oil and gas accounting and general accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounts Receivable leadership experience
  • SAP or similar accounting software experience
  • Experience with an AR workflow system such as Energylink
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness while ensuring SOX compliance
  • Communication skills to effectively work with all levels of an organization
  • Process oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team
