The Safety Manager develops programs, policies and procedures to eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error and equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage.

Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:

-Develops and maintains safety policies, programs and procedures to eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error and equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and / or property damage.
-Insures compliance with OSHA standards and Company policies and procedures.
-Inspects machinery, equipment and work conditions in industrial or other settings to reduce the probability of injury and insure compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
-Develops and delivers risk reduction training.
-Provides direction to supervisors regarding safety and compliance issues.
-Promotes safe work practices.
-Develops Audit and Inspection Requirements. Participates in third party safety audits.
-Manages Safety Incentive and Promotion Programs and Vendors.
-Manages Safety Supplier Vendors and Supplier Accounts, Contracts, Pricing, etc.
-Solves compliance issues & regulatory issues without hindering production.
-Obtains buy in of loss prevention practices at all levels.
-Liaison between all levels of management toward safety improvement.
-Implements training and process improvements within time constraints associated with a production environment working shift work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Manufacturing or Forestry Operations
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Above average computer skills with proficient application of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT regulations and worker's compensation laws

Preferred Experience:

  • Industrial environment safety experience

The
base salary range for this position is $84,000 -
$126,000. Actual base salary is based on the experience and
qualifications of the selected candidate.
