Summary:

The Machine Operator controls the process, inspects product for quality conformance and accurately records quality data using statistical process controls by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will be expected to learn all the machines in their respective areas.

  • Monitors temperatures and charts on responsible equipment. Subsequently notifies leads, maintenance supervisors or managers if equipment needs adjustments or repairs.

  • Properly sets up and loads machines according to product being produced within the plant.

  • Performs sanitation of equipment using chemicals and assists with changeover of equipment, ensuring all lock-out and tag-out procedures are followed.

  • Operates appropriate material handling equipment, if necessary, such as forklift/pallet jacks in a safe and orderly manner in an effort to reduce accidents and injuries.

  • Complies with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, AIB, etc.)

  • Troubleshoots problems as they arise and makes appropriate adjustments to correct the problem.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

  • Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.

  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $23.78to $25.15.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Seafood industry or manufacturing specific experience

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
