Summary:

The Sr. Field Marketing Training Manager will lead the strategy and execution for marketing training and education, working closely with the Field Marketing team to align training needs with departmental critical metrics. This role involves developing and delivering training materials in the most effective formats to enhance field awareness and adoption of marketing tools and resources. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels and work cross-functionally to align marketing training goals with field objectives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops field marketing training strategy in alignment with Field Marketing objectives and critical metrics.
  • Partners with Field Communications, Campaigns, and Content team to create a training plan and content that aligns with the adoption plan. Training topics include digital marketing, prospecting, social media, segmentation, client engagement, and more.
  • Develops and manages field marketing training calendar, including home office driven training, corporate schools & seminars, key events (Annual and Regional meetings), and network office and district network office trainings.
  • Determines the best medium and environment to deliver training based on audience segment and needs.
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of marketing, advisors, and market segments, including the needs, attitudes, and behaviors of Northwestern Mutual's advisors and target consumers.
  • Works closely with Field Advisors, Field Leadership, and internal partners (Field Function, National Training Program, etc.) to ensure coordination and company-wide support for marketing training initiatives.
  • Develops methods to measure and quantify the impact of marketing training and education marketing initiatives.
  • Stays current on marketing training trends and developments.
  • Represents Field Marketing and presents at various field events and venues.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, adult education, or communications.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, education/training, or professional communications is necessary.
  • Excellent writing and facilitation/public speaking skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels; demonstrated diplomacy, sensitivity and flexibility in adapting to constantly evolving needs and priorities; quick, effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to listen, engage and influence clients; synthesize and relate complex information; analyze communication and execution problems and opportunities; and implement integrated training / educational strategies.
  • Working knowledge of training methodologies and formats.
  • High degree of independent initiative and organization, along with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, set priorities and meet aggressive deadlines with a commitment to team objectives.
  • Demonstrate NM behaviors: deliver exceptional experience, solve for the client, be a talent multiplier, lead with enterprise vision, challenge the status quo, play to win.
  • Proven ability to identify and analyze opportunities and creatively and systematically convert opportunities into action and results.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$69,720.00

Pay Range - End:

$129,480.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
