Job Purpose

The Manager II of Digital Marketing & Strategy has a critical role in developing digital strategies and managing the digital properties and product teams to enhance the Honda/Acura Brand, sales and post-purchase objectives as well as all corporate initiatives. This position is a significant part of the marketing team and also manages multiple agency partners in order to deliver a high-level digital experience.

Key Accountabilities

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT



  • Oversee all department units, manage team/project/technology interdependencies, enable cross-BU coordination & collaboration, coordinate with IT leadership, ensure impediments are addressed and committed results delivered.
  • Develop, communicate, and deliver the Product calendar that ensures timely support of products and company goals. manage communication with internal stakeholders to so their needs are considered and met.
  • Lead Product Teams and Product Owners that manage of brand websites, sales lead management tools, and eCommerce sites, to deliver on business goals. Maintain Agile methodology and governance from design to development.
  • Provide direction to digital partners, internal groups and manage department associates to provide digital properties that support sales and continually meet and exceed company/customer/dealer needs.
  • Effectively communicate product strategies and objectives to Prod Teams, IT and vendor partners, with the ability of managing Product delivery schedules via Product Increment planning, backlog, priority, and release management. .
  • Measure and optimize website and campaign performance, identify program optimization opportunities, create analytics dashboards, establish a SEO strategy, setting performance KPIs, and ensure proper website tagging and governance.
  • Analyze web analytics data as well as other offline data to evaluate site performance.
  • Understand online metrics, terminology, industry best practices, and industry trends.



NEW BUSINESS STRATEGY



  • Oversee a team dedicated to supporting the enterprise and NEW business demands through digital marketing including:
  • Creating the strategy of integrating new business (sustainability, energy/charging, others as they are established) into digital marketing workflow.
  • Working with multiple divisions and business units to create a fair and equitable prioritization across business needs.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP



  • Manage Product Owners who deliver on Digital Marketing Strategy via product management, project implementation, process changes, and technology adoption. Work with multiple divisions and business units to create equitable prioritization delivering on business needs.
  • Lead a team of experienced associates and Managers and as well as a broad coalition of collaborating resources in IT, agencies and partner organizations.
  • Leverage organizational structure and ensure high associate performance.
  • Coach and mentor to foster associate development. Model learning and development for your teams through your own advancement and growth efforts.


MANAGE DIGITAL VENDORS AND LEAD THE EXECUTION OF ALL DIGITAL STRATEGIES:



  • Demonstrate a challenging spirit and belief in continuous improvement to lead the department and agencies effectively and deliver on time, cost, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Document and manage to contracts and SOWs. Report on KPIs and ensure agency quality supports Honda's vision and mission.
  • Effectively lead both internal and external teams to innovate and optimize and to persevere through challenges.
  • Partner with agencies and internal divisions to establish online marketing direction and tactics to support vehicle launches and corporate initiatives while having the ability to manage and motivate all involved teams.

WEBSITE ANALYSIS AND GOVERNANCE



  • Utilize analytics to make data driven and informed decisions and deliver enhancements across digital platforms.
  • Measure and optimize website and campaign performance, identify program optimization opportunities, create analytics dashboards, establish a SEO strategy, setting performance KPIs, and ensure proper website tagging and governance. Deliver privacy-compliant features.
  • Analyze web analytics data as well as other offline data to evaluate site performance.
  • High competency within internet environment with high level technical skills to understand web development.
  • Advance personalization of website content by leveraging 1080/customer data, SiteCore CMS platform, Marketing Cloud, Honda apps, and other related technologies.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BA/BS degree in Business Management, Marketing, Websites or related professional degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • 10 years of relevant experience with at least 7 years in wholesale or retail related to marketing, advertising, sales, and website management
  • Experience relative to marketing, advertising, sales, and website management
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Digital & online marketing principles
  • Understanding of different digital platforms
  • Online UX & UI design
  • Martech & IT systems
  • Content management
  • Email & Mobile marketing
  • Analytics/data science
