POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Inventory Control Associate assumes a pivotal leadership role in overseeing inventory management and is responsible for maintaining the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in inventory processes. This position involves managing weekly cycle counts, yearly physical inventory, bin management, and resolving complex issues related to sales and purchase orders. The Lead Inventory Control Associate sets the standard for best practices in inventory control, provides guidance to junior associates, and ensures the integrity of inventory records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advanced Inventory Management Leadership:



  • Lead and supervise weekly inventory cycle counts, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in stock counts and reconciliation with computer-generated reports.
  • Analyze and optimize cycle count results, driving continuous process improvements.


Yearly Physical Inventory Excellence:



  • Take the lead in preparing for and executing the yearly physical inventory, ensuring a seamless and accurate process.
  • Implement and enforce best practices to maintain a precise inventory record.


Expertise in Bin Management:



  • Safely and efficiently manage inventory placement within designated bins, including the handling of chemicals and strategic storage.


Complex Issue Resolution:



  • Investigate and resolve intricate issues related to sales orders, purchase orders, and inventory discrepancies, collaborating closely with warehouse management and Customer Service Representatives (CSR).


Freight Claims Mastery:



  • Lead the handling of freight claims, ensuring timely and precise resolution using the online company portal when required.


Advanced Inventory Adjustment Oversight:



  • Manage complex inventory adjustments in the Navision system and provide comprehensive weekly cycle count reports to key stakeholders.


RMA and Returned Products Supervision:



  • Oversee the efficient processing of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and returned products, setting the standard for adherence to best practices.


Leadership and Mentorship:



  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior associates, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement in inventory control.



COMPETENCIES:



  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship skills to guide junior associates and drive continuous improvement in inventory control.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address intricate inventory issues and implement highly effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in and enforcement of best practices for warehouse operational skills, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in managing and analyzing inventory records, setting the highest standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by addressing complex inventory-related inquiries and issues.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols, including the use of OSHA-approved safety shoes from the first day of employment.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 3 - 4 years of experience in inventory control and warehouse operations, demonstrating expertise in inventory management, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • 2+ year of experience operating a sit-down forklift and order picker/cherry picker.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Navision is preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
