Responsibilities:

Bisons Weekend:



  • Responsible for ensuring that a year-long communication and marketing plan is executed for the weekend. Including digital advertising, social media, emails, and physical mail.
  • Work with all other departments across campus to coordinate college events, athletic events, and other important Bisons Weekend events.
  • Identify and work with class reunion coordinators for 5 year - 50 year reunions.
  • Manage the Bisons Weekend budget
  • Assist in and lead strategic planning for some key alumni events (both on and off campus)
  • Work with the Director of Parent Engagement to ensure strategic parent events are completed during the weekend.
  • Work with the Assistant Vice President to understand and implement the department's strategic priorities and goals regarding growth of Bisons Weekend




            Other:



            • Execute and implement the Alumni Office's Tier one and Tier two event strategies.
            • Assist other campus units with the implementation of Advancement's registration system to properly track alumni attendance
            • Help create and implement on-campus events which encourage alumni to come back to campus
            • Support the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement in regional and local events as needed. May attend events as a liaison for the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement.
            • Create metrics and data points to track affinity building through events
            • Provide support for campus events involving the engagement of Lipscomb University's alumni
            • Assist in and lead strategic planning for some key alumni events (both on and off campus)
            • Help lead and manage the Student Alumni Ambassadors to help fulfill goals and mission of the office
            • Work with the Assistant Vice President to understand and implement the department's strategic priorities and goals.
            • Perform all other duties as assigned.




                          Requirements:



                          • Bachelor's degree required.
                          • Two years of marketing, event planning or related experience required.
                          • Ability to represent the University with tact and diplomacy at all times required.
                          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required for written and verbal contact with donors and alumni.
                          • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, evaluation options, and implement effective action steps to accomplish objectives.
                          • An understanding of the entire development enterprise - particularly within an academic setting - and the ability to work within that framework desirable.
                          • Outstanding organizational skill necessary.
                          • Strong professional ethics and computer literacy required.
                          • Some evening and weekend work required.
