Coating Operator (2nd shift)

This position will work 2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm, Monday - Friday.

The Coating Operator is responsible for all activities related to the coating of the product as per formula instructions. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Competently operates coating machinery independently as well as within a team environment.

* Moves skids using an electric and/or manual jack and operate hand tools

* Labels with batch records.

* Documents coating process information as per SOP.

* Loads and unloads coating machine.

* Weighs coating ingredients as per formula to prepare coating solution/color solution.

* Monitors coating operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the manager.

* Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance.

* Follows safety rules, SOP's and cGMP guidelines.

* Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

* Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, within in a manufacturing environment

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

* Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)

EXPERIENCE:

* Prior manufacturing experience preferred

SKILLS:

* Ability to write simple correspondence

* Basic mathematical skills

* Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions

* Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc... within a manufacturing environment
