DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of SCI Fayette. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and managing the maintenance and trades staff, as well as delegating and coordinating daily tasks. Your duties will involve planning and prioritizing tasks based on the facility's goals and objectives, and creating an annual budget for the department. You will also be responsible for supervising the performance of routine and specialized maintenance and repairs tasks, ensuring that the facility is well-maintained and any issues are addressed promptly. Additionally, you will conduct orientation and trainings on regulations, job requirements, and safety protocols. Other responsibilities include handling employee grievances and complaints; administering collective bargaining agreements; and reviewing inmate training progress, attendance, and assignment details. To ensure the success of your team, you will conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings and fulfill a full range of supervisory duties. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, work days to be determined, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor with a specialty in one of the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry; or
- Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
