Senior Leader Inclusion & Belonging

The ideal candidate would be co-located with our Director of Inclusion & Belonging in our Austin, TX office.

Assist in creating, building, and managing Inclusion & Belonging (I&B), programs that will be the foundation for advancing I&B around the world. This role will report directly to the Director of Inclusion & Belonging and is responsible for being a strategic partner in the development of I&B programs while understanding the data to implement a holistic program. This will include partnering with business leaders, customers, government agencies and other internal and external partners. This role will be highly collaborative and the successful candidate should not be afraid to challenge the status quo, influence change, while ensuring Itron is compliant with all regulatory and customer requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and implementing a holistic, global, enterprise-wide I&B strategy applying macro-trends, research, analysis, and benchmarks that reflects and addresses the needs and approaches in different markets.

  • Support operationalization of organizational I&B strategies, within the context of geographic and business dynamics.

  • Serve as a thought leader inside and where appropriate outside the organization on all aspects of I&B, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to Itron.

  • Identify new programs or initiatives that can bolster belonging within our company and that reflect the best expertise in this space, ensuring we have an inclusive, equitable culture that truly reflects our values.

  • Develop and execute employee enablement and training strategies.

Required Skills

  • Experience in HR, I&B, or other related fields;

  • Thought leadership and understanding of Inclusion & belonging concepts & discipline;

  • Extensive collaborative skills that enable solid levels of influence at all levels without direct reporting structure and/or authority;

  • Strong project and program management skills, with expertise in building, managing and scaling complex programs that involve significant change management, high-profile outcomes, and multiple organizational partners;

  • Excellence in communication (both verbal and written), training, and presentation facilitation to various audiences and levels;

  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to effectively collaborate with business leaders from global regions;

  • Understand and partner with multiple functions across the organization such as Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and Organizational Development to assist in driving change; and,

  • Strong understanding of global legal and compliance requirements related to I&B.
