Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are currently seeking to fill our Talent Acquisition Specialist position at the Philadelphia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

POSITION SUMMARY
The talent acquisition specialist is responsible for performing recruitment activities, including sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring prospective employees to meet the PCOM's staffing goals. Specific activities include, but are not limited to, creating and reviewing staffing requisitions in the applicant tracking system (ATS), screening applications, coordinating and scheduling interviews with hiring decision makers, and presenting employment offers. The incumbent works closely with the department's onboarding specialist to ensure that new hires receive and complete required onboarding materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:
* Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and human resources on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
* Facilitate search kick-off meetings with hiring managers to determine selection criteria, hiring profile, job requirements, evaluation process, and search timeline
* Source potential candidates through institution's online career sites, recruitment sites, job boards, social platforms as well as print or digital media, posters, and flyers when required
* Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and keep search timelines on track.
* Evaluate applications, screen candidates via phone, facilitate pre-interview assessments, and make recommendations to hiring managers.
* Collaborate with hiring managers and committees to organize the interview process, establish format, select questions, and collect feedback to ensure interviews and evaluation processes are consistent and equitable.
* Schedule interviews and coordinate meetings and facilities, which may include travel and lodging arrangements for candidates.
* Host candidates during on campus interviews and visits, create interview day itineraries, and manage details of candidate experience throughout the visit.
Manage applicant pipeline and hiring process via applicant tracking system and ensure each search is conducted per PCOM standard operating procedures, policies, and best practices.
* Utilize software or designated workflow to process background and reference checks and employment documentation.
* Create offer letters, recruitment reports, and other staffing administrative functions as needed.
* Present offers to candidates, sell the opportunity, and negotiate details of employment.
* Document and track processes while communicating with other departments and colleagues, particularly the institution's onboarding specialist, as appropriate.
* Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business administration, liberal arts, or similar discipline, preferred.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum three years' experience in a similar recruitment role.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong collaboration skills
* High level of computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
* Prior knowledge of recruitment and ATS platforms, such as Cornerstone.
* High customer service orientation.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $62,000

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
