We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces in a commercial setting. The ideal applicant should have a keen eye for detail, excellent color matching skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or applying primer.
Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, equipment.
Tape off and protect surrounding areas not intended for painting.
Remove old paint necessary.
Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
Erect scaffolding, ladders, or other equipment to reach high areas safely.
Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
Estimate time and materials for projects.
Use electronic equipment such as tablets and cell phone for projects duration and completion tracking.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
Keep work areas clean and organized.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience as a painter (apprenticeship may be considered)
Thorough knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and color theory
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Proficiency in using various painting tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical stamina to work long hours, sometimes in challenging positions
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational training or certification in painting
Experience with specialty finishes or decorative painting techniques
Knowledge of OSHA safety standard

Work Environment:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
May involve working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and other potential irritants (proper PPE will be provided)
Some travel may be required between job sites
Some vaccination is required

Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Tuesday through Saturday work week
Typical shift: 8 hours per day 6 AM to 2 PM

Compensation:
Starting pay $ 36.48 per hour.
Opportunity for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 per week
Pay increases are structured according to the terms set forth in the Collective Bargaining

Union Membership:
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement
