Job Overview

The Staff Success Center is housed within Human Resources and provides a centralized resource for Staff to grow their professional and technical skills. We provide open enrollment virtual classes, customized training sessions in person and virtually, and manage additional programs and resources to ensure staff success, including digital media.

The Staff Training Specialist will coordinate and facilitate training programs to the University community.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and facilitate group training and development programs. Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions covering a range of topics.
  • Support the management of physical office space, including helping with room reservations and providing customer service to staff who visit.
  • Assist with coordination and promotion of training programs and activities. Provide administrative support for vendor deployed programs. Prepare related reports and documentation.
  • Design, develop, and edit classroom, eLearning, virtual, and blended curriculum, programs and learning aids.
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of information back on the job.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience with Articulate Storyline; Vyond Animation; Adobe Suite.
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
