The Director, Organizational Development will be responsible for designing and delivering effective people and organizational interventions that help improve the effectiveness and performance of the Jazz organization, and ultimately support delivery of the company's strategic goals and objectives. Jazz is at an exciting moment in its growth as an innovative biopharma company, it has become an organization with increased scope and scale which brings with it incredible opportunities as well as potential challenges. Key to the organization's future success will be strengthening the culture of the company, which is a real competitive advantage for Jazz, as well as ensuring the overall organization is operating as efficiently and effectively as it can. The Director, OD will play a key role in helping to deliver high-impact interventions that build organizational capability and help ensure the business operates to its full potential and continues to grow sustainably. The Director, OD will report to the Head of People & Culture. This role will partner directly with HR Business Partners and business leaders to design and implement key organizational solutions. We deliver our business impact through a matrix team model that serves to ensure we have the right team, shared understanding of outcomes, and a highly collaborative approach to delivering for the business. Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively consult with key stakeholders to design and execute effective people and organizational interventions that help improve the health and effectiveness of the overall Jazz organization and drive a high performance culture
  • Draw upon relevant, specialist expertise (e.g. in Organizational Development, High Performance team Development, change leadership, behavioral culture change) to inform the diagnosis and design of priority people and organizational interventions
  • Take a data-driven / evidence-based approach to delivering effective solutions through the full project lifecycle (diagnosis, design, implement, embed & sustain)
  • Work in close partnership with other HR team members in a highly matrixed project-based team structure, with a focus on collectively delivering to effectively leverage the full Jazz HR Operating model to successfully implement, embed and sustain people and organizational change interventions
  • Coach and mentor senior leaders and other key stakeholders as needed, provide expert advice and support to enable them to lead significant change efforts within the organization
  • Work in a fully integrated way with the People Analytics expert team to leverage relevant organizational and people data in support of designing, delivering and measuring the impact of interventions and solutions
  • Throughout the design and delivery of solutions and interventions, ensure that individual and organizational capabilities are being built in Jazz so that changes can be self-sustained by the broader organizational system
  • Establish and manage effective vendor partnerships to ensure that Jazz has access to expert consulting support as required for future change interventions and solutions
  • Leverage external networks and connections to continuously seek best practices and learning from outside of Jazz that can benefit the development of the organization moving forwards
  • Represent Jazz externally and help Jazz to be seen as progressive, modern employer
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 5-10 years expertise in in organizational development, HR business partnership (with heavy emphasis on org development, change management)
  • Significant experience of delivering high impact and high value organizational development and change/team interventions and solutions in complex, global organizations
  • Strong results orientation with a demonstrated ability to oversee practical, solution-driven initiatives that are perceived as adding value to the business
  • Good understanding of relevant concepts and theories related to people, culture and organizational development / behavior
  • Experience of leveraging people and organizational data to inform effective organizational interventions
  • Strong, proven organizational consulting skills, demonstrates high levels of self-awareness and Emotional Intelligence
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to think and act with a global mindset, culturally sensitive and aware
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adapt given changing priorities
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
  • Education: Preferred: Bachelors and/or Graduate Degreein Organizational Development / Organizational Behavior / Organizational Consulting / Psychology / I/O Psychology / HRM / orequivalent
  • Preferred: Relevant OD related expert certifications or qualifications e.g. NTL / PROSCI / etc.
  • Experience: 5-10 years expertise in in organizational development, hr business partnership (with heavy emphasis on org development, change management)

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $180,800.00 - $271,200.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
