Responsibilities

OneGroup, a leading Insurance and Risk Management firm based in Central New York seeks a motived student or recent graduate to participate in the organization's day-to-day operations that includes a variety of critical business support and development tasks. This internship is an opportunity for a student to immerse themselves in the business of insurance and risk management. The applicant should have the desire to learn about the insurance and Risk Management industry in a state of the art facility.

Projects as assigned:

Business and Personal Insurance, Benefits and Human Resources Consulting, Accounting, Claims, Risk Management and Sales

Participate in completion of real-time client projects

Assist in departmental business development projects

Attend client appointments

Attend networking events

Participate in the sales process including attending client appointments

Business Support assistance

Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks as assigned


Qualifications

Must be equivalent of current Senior class level or entering Senior level in the Fall 2025 Semester. Post graduate applicants are eligible for consideration as well.

3.0 overall GPA is preferred

Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management, or a related area of study is preferred.

Ability to use menu driven software in addition to Word and Excel programs

Ability to work independently

Good organizational and research skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Strong communication skills

Committed to providing excellent customer service

Be resourceful in supporting projects and tasks as needed

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with team members
