Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about supporting the training of Soldiers and units on using MCIS such as Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Joint Battle Command - Platform (JBC-P), and Joint Capabilities Release (JCR). The Sys/IA Administrator assists in the definition and programming of moderately complex live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVC-G) simulation software. Works effectively on several phases of MTC systems/software programming/analysis with little direction.

The selected candidate will work at the JBMDL US Army Reserve (USAR) Mission Training Complex (MTC). The person in this role will be responsible for supporting the networking and technical integration of scenarios and conducting training classes/courses using various fielded US Army MCIS and simulations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to share their technical knowledge and skills in supporting the training of Soldiers. This role will require proactiveness, responsiveness, and discipline to meet training unit, Government, and staff requirements. In this role, the candidate must be knowledgeable of DoD system security requirements and networking of various US Army MCIS.

What You'll Do



  • Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems for the MTC's products.
  • Identify system requirements for operations and security, and work with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Assist in performing system design, development, and product verification testing on control systems, software, hardware, and equipment.
  • Develop verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents.
  • Define operations, security, and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in testbed and modeled environments.
  • Assist in the coding of benchmark testing, job accounting, and other control modules developed internally by the company.
  • Assist with moderately complex software applications, such as system generations, compilers, link editors, and assemblers.


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
  • Meet DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II).
  • Bachelor's degree and three years minimum of related experience, or a minimum of ten years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience providing information system security engineering support to accrediting authority technical and programmatic staff.
  • Recent experience generating and implementing System Security Accreditation packages for DoD and/or IC Customers.
  • Recent experience establishing security processes, practices, and principles for SCI communication network connected systems.
  • Recent experience with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and FISMA requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and security-related topics.
  • Ability to identify and predict difficult certification activities and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of security violation reporting procedures for classified systems.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must possess an Active US SECRET clearance
