Description

We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer who loves a challenge, thinks creatively, inspires innovation, and demonstrates high levels of energy and commitment.

What you'll do:

The Server Engineer is an integral member of our IT team, providing support for our servicing center, new loan origination system, and banking services. You'll leverage world-class technologies to enable us to deliver best in class mortgage products to customers nation-wide. Day to day activities could include:

Strategy:



  • Partner with network architects to continuously improve our network performance, system resiliency and customer experience.
  • You will design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment "Azure/On-Prem"



Support:



  • You will provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all server/storage/network devices/client devices, etc.
  • You will monitor production, outputs, and services to ensure that SLAs, and other quality metrics are being met.
  • Application support for in house systems and some 3rd party solutions.
  • Provide support in Azure and On-Prem infrastructures across the organization



Projects:



  • You will participate in short- and long-term project efforts with stakeholders and other IT groups
  • Agile/Scrum is the way we manage all projects and day to day operations.



Operations:



  • You will manage one or more of the following technologies: Terminal Servers, DFS, Active Directory, Internet Information Server (IIS), VMware/Citrix, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Microsoft Cluster Server.
  • IAC with Terraform and Ansible
  • File permissions and RBAC group management
  • Morning spot checks of services and infrastructure



Security and Risk:



  • Makes recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations as needed.



Documentation:



  • Develops, reviews, and maintains technical documentation for product environments.
  • Create KB's for items that can be resolve from our IT Service Desk to improve on SLA delivery



What you'll need to be successful:



  • At least 5 years of experience with deploying to and operating cloud and On-prem environments and configuration management (AWS and/or Azure/VMware)
  • Experience with Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) "Nutanix Preferred"
  • Experience with MS Azure
  • Coding/Scripting Experience is needed
  • Experience performing design/build/support of multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and proficient in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

Qualifications
Experience
5 years: At least 5 years of experience with deploying to and operating cloud and On-prem environments and configuration management (AWS and/or Azure/VMware) (preferred)
