ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Responsible for verification and interpretation of insurance benefits
  2. Estimate patient out-of-pocket, collection from guarantor
  3. Process claims electronically or hard copy with 100% accuracy and mail claims to insurance carriers timely
  4. Initiate appropriate follow-up and collection calls with guarantor and insurance companies
  5. Identify denial and pending reasons and investigate, resolve and initiate information to secure reimbursement
  6. Documentation through computer system to maintain correct account balance
  7. Update computer system information according to correspondence received and processed documenting any changes as needed


REQUIREMENTS:

Self-motivated and task oriented

At least 21 years old

High school diploma or equivalent

2 or more years experience preferred

Must have knowledge and understanding of insurance

Experience with billing systems and patient account systems

Experience in an office setting using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred
