Position Summary & Responsibilities:

This analyst minded position is responsible for a wide range of International Transportation operational duties related to the orders and shipments of the company's products from the US International Distribution Centers (IDC) to its International Subsidiaries and Distributors worldwide (exports). Maintenance of departmental statistics as required. Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job function for this position. Assist with import flows to our US IDC's or manufacturing sites. Have strong partnership with the Export Supply Operations teams (ESO) who manage the export orders.

  • Will partner with IDC Operations to ensure the timely and accurate processing and shipment of customer orders.
  • Monitor (track and trace) shipments for customer orders to routing requests and develop and utilize reporting tools to monitor customer orders and shipment status.
  • Track, record, and investigate customer complaints to ensure proper customer satisfaction.
  • Can update and communicate daily shipping schedules with operations teams and management, including orders that could be at risk.
  • Coordinate special, last minute shipping requests and schedule pick up orders with IDC operations and ESO team.
  • Generate, maintain and organize all related paperwork, work instructions and transportation plans required for customer orders in order to sustain appropriate booking lead-times for air / ocean / and truck mode.
  • Review with the ESO team and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) department for any transport events that could impact stock, by exception reporting from our carriers (i.e. geopolitical, strikes, weather impacts).
  • Communicate effectively with between key ESO team, VMI departments within the Global Supply Chain organization such as: Inventory Managers, Brand Demand teams, Buyer/Planners, and others.
  • Adhere to the company's compliance program relating to customs, duties, packaging, master data coordination and regulatory requirements such as Dangerous Goods from IATA, C-TPAT, cold chain management, and several others.
  • Respond to customer and service providers inquiries by phone and email.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelors' degree with 2+ years of experience with transportation and customs documentation
    • International Trade or International Transportation experience also accepted
    • Export/Import experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • MS Office proficiency, especially with spreadsheet preparation with ability to analyze large bulks of data with complex formulas, pivot tables, and other aspects in Excel
  • Preferred experience with an ERP systems and logistics tools would be helpful but not required. SAP experience is preferred.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and driven by a sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
