Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for a Stores Leader. This role will be based out of our Lumber facility in Warrenton, GA. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) inventory in support of operations and reliability at the lowest total cost of ownership while adhering to GP internal financial controls, safety rules and regulations. In addition, this role will work hand in hand with procurement resources, reliability/maintenance team members, vendors, and others to implement and/or sustain a storeroom where safety and compliance are the highest priority and that meets the needs of our internal customers. What You Will Do
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures
* Manage/Oversee Storeroom operations and processes for inventory including requisitioning, receiving and issuing parts/supplies, and data analysis
* Assist in locally implementing new sourcing/inventory strategies that adhere to GP Strategic Sourcing & Procurement initiatives and vision.
* Responsible for developing inventory plans, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and assisting in the development of criticality classifications for parts to track materials most critical to uptime
* Work with maintenance and operations to understand inventory needs and ensure reliability is properly supported at the best total cost of ownership for GP
* Conduct periodic review and analysis of the inventory metrics including (but not limited to) cycle counting and on-demand reviews, overmax evaluation, slow moving/obsolete inventory reviews, repair & return transactions, criticality reviews, and min/max reviews based on usage, lead time, and asset strategy.
* Identifying opportunities for stores-related process or workflow improvements and implementing as needed
* Training others on stores processes, the associated value, and driving accountability
* Drive conversations on inventory metrics to ensure inventory opportunities are appropriately addressed to create maximum value for the facility and GP.
* Ensure the storeroom is organized through shelf/bin and parts identification with corresponding database accuracy
* Drive improvements in Vendor-Managed and Committed Inventory
* Manage New Stock initiation process
* Follow, review, and share knowledge on all applicable Internal Financial Controls and Purchasing and Storeroom policies
* Generate material releases and follow-up as needed
* Resolve invoice discrepancies as they occur and work to resolve root causes

Physical Attributes:
* Willing and able to adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
* Willing and able to work holidays and overtime as needed
* Willing and able to routinely lift 35lbs and ability to lift 70 lbs routinely with assistance of another individual
* Willing and able perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours/day, including but not limited to lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and/or stooping

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year of inventory management experience or similar background and knowledge
* Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including the use of formulas and sorting data in Excel
* Willing and able to adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

What Will Put You Ahead

* At least three (3) years of inventory management experience or at least three (3) years manufacturing experience

* Experience designing and implementing storeroom layout, initial inventory strategies, etc.

* Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) parts

* Experience with inventory management software and data analytic tools
