THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Corrections Stock Clerk to help us keep our inventory control activities running smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies for PCI. Your duties will include inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You can expect to train and monitor inmate workers in the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory. You will also prepare routine reports, as well as operate motor vehicles, forklifts, and hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
