In this role, you will play a key part in serving nutritious and appetizing meals, all while helping to create a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment for our consumers. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will prepare meals daily by grilling and toasting foods, setting up the serving counter, preparing beverages, and plating salads and desserts, as well as dicing or peeling ingredients according to portion control guidelines to meet the nutritional needs of consumers. You will serve meals by dishing out hot and cold foods and pouring beverages, ensuring proper portions are served in accordance with the menu and nutritional requirements. Additionally, you will operate the dishwasher, which includes scraping dishes, pre-soaking silverware, loading and unloading, and storing clean dishes and utensils to uphold sanitation standards. Your duties will include cleaning all food service areas using approved cleaning methods and products to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Additional duties will include preparing and delivering food supplements, such as juices, snacks, and nourishments, to meet the dietary needs of consumers. You will adhere to safety rules and regulations while performing your tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. You will also participate in meetings, attend in-service training, prepare and serve food for special occasions, and assist production staff when required by completing assignments from supervisors and dietitians, all to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and 2nd shift (11:00 AM to 7:00 PM), Sunday - Saturday, with two 15-minute breaks.
- Rotating days off, weekends and holidays will be assigned.
- Overtime: As needed
- May change based on operational needs.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
