Role Summary

Commercial Finance | Sales and Marketing
Commercial Sales:

  • Support financial planning and strategy for retail site launches, expansions, and enhancements.
  • Analyze site performance metrics, assess ROI, and network optimization strategies to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with sales teams to optimize performance metrics and develop sales forecasts.
  • Support monthly Sales Commission reporting and validation.

Commercial Marketing:

  • Evaluate ROI on campaigns, optimize marketing budgets, and assess the financial impact of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Support and scale master data management and financial administration
  • Purchase Order review and approvals
    Facilities Finance | Workplace

Office and Lab Operations:

  • Analyze and manage budgets for office and lab expenditures, including leases, utilities, and other operational expenses.
  • Support capital planning for office and lab initiatives and through financial modeling and ROI assessments.
  • Purchase Order review and approvals
  • Support and scale master data management and financial administration

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage team for forecast and analyst of Rivian retail location expenses for the growing retail fleet, as well as headcount and travel & operating budgets, including supporting the development and communication of expense forecasts to store leadership and to internal finance business partners
  • Support development of annual budget and long-range plans for retail locations in partnership with retail leadership and corporate business partners, supporting Rivian's strategic priorities
  • Develop the strategy and provide the required analytical support to recommend new/different ways of managing retail store expenses in a growing and changing business environment
  • Engage cross-functional business leads to support and analyze various store and ownership related initiatives, including vehicle test drives, events and ownership engagement
  • Partner with Commercial Finance Manager and Real Estate Finance to manage the capital pipeline for Commercial Finance, managing new store growth plans, remodels, and construction timelines
  • Partner with Retail Operations team to generate site level business case proformas to ensure program held to key financial objectives (ie: NPV, IRR, ROI and Demand Generation benchmarks)
    Share critical weekly store reporting with Retail leaders and HQ executives highlighting key performance indicators and trends at the store, district, region, and fleet level and support ad hoc performance analysis intended to contribute to ongoing growth in various store segments
  • Identify key drivers of retail store operating expense variability and proactively investigate and develop recommendations to mitigate risk or capture opportunities
  • Engage cross-functional business leads to support and analyze various workplace facilities projects and related initiatives

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of work experience planning and forecasting experience, within the automotive industry a plus
  • Proven analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various management levels
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theories
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast paced environment
  • Proven experience budgeting, planning, forecasting, closing and reconciling operating expenditures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground up
  • Ability to effectively articulate financial stories in a clear and concise manner
  • Proven ability developing and improving processes to make reporting better, faster and more scalable
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling or data visualization tools.
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
