Summary:

Under general supervision, the Administrative Associate will register Oncology patients at our Adult Oncology clinic using standard established processes. In addition, with the return scheduling team greets all patients with excellent customer service, arrives patients to the correct departments, schedules from in person requests and electronic requests, maintains daily reports, participates in projects and operation support, assist with development of departmental and program standards, and provides professional assistance to physicians, nursing, clinics, and management staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and assisting all patients
2. Maintaining daily/weekly reports as outlined in department guidelines
3. Scheduling from in person requests
4. Scheduling from electronic requests
5. Scanning documents
6. Faxing, sorting, and distributing
7. Answering incoming calls and returning calls from voicemail
8. Participating in department quality improvement activities
9. Attending monthly staff meetings and daily huddles

Education Requirements:
* High School diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* One (1) year of clerical or administrative experience.
* If Bachelor's degree, no years of experience is required
* If Associate's degree, no years of experience is required
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

Technical expertise: understands the technical aspects of one's job. Effectively uses Microsoft office products in order to produce reports and documents. Works to meet the internal/external customer requirements. Fiscal responsibility: Understands the insurance process and seeks to make the best decision/referral in the interest of the customer. Conflict Resolution: Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension or conflict between two or more people. Finds agreement on issues and follows through on implementation
