Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Marine team in Milwaukee, WI.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Assist the Division Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end-operations of the Accounting Department including month-end closing, forecast, budget review and analysis.
  • Ensure the integrity of monthly inventory valuations and verify cycle counting accuracy.
  • Perform general ledger accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financials statements, interim financial reporting, Quarter-End & Year-End Packages.
  • Fixed asset analysis.
  • Assist with other Ad Hoc projects: Contribution Margin Analysis, Inter-Company Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, and other requests.
  • Follows established procedures and guidelines to accurately maintain general ledger and financial records and transactions in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP").



Qualifications:

  • You have a relative 4-year degree (or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree) and at least 3 years of accounting/financial analyst experience.
  • Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
  • Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • You have strong Excel skills and experience with financial software (SAP, SAP B1, etc.)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
