We are seeking a customer-focused, expert Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Procurement Engagement and Sourcing team for our client, a leading innovator in the real estate technology industry.

- The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $50.00-$53.90 per hour.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, driving key aspects of the supplier relationship lifecycle. This includes planning, sourcing, and negotiation support for complex deals, as well as managing ongoing supplier relationships. You will monitor current spend, forecast future financial commitments, and collaborate with various teams to support business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Complex Sourcing Events: Manage and facilitate contracting, and maintain supplier relationships across your portfolio.
- Identify Savings Opportunities: Research and uncover savings and optimization opportunities within current and future service needs.
- Support Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with leadership and business teams to guide solution selection, supplier standards, business requirements, and priorities with minimal mentorship.
- Effective Communication: Deliver fact-based, data-driven communications and recommendations to peers, executives, and suppliers.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build positive relationships across the business, proposing innovative solutions and challenging biases where needed.
- Analyze Value and Costs: Understand and evaluate value propositions and total cost of ownership, distinguishing between operating and capital expenditures in partnership with Finance teams.
- Develop Standard Practices: Implement standard supplier agreements, management best practices, and sourcing procedures.
- Budget Monitoring: Oversee budgets, tracking spend by supplier, team, project, and business unit.
- Lead Projects: Manage complex, cross-functional projects and process improvements both within Procurement and across partner teams.
- Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on complex deals and best practices.
- Detailed Reporting: Create and maintain reports on supplier relationships, covering metrics on savings, diversity, sustainability, and supplier rationalization.
- Supplier Strategy: Recommend supplier strategies that balance effective usage, risk management, and innovative or diverse capabilities.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, educating customers and suppliers on compliance requirements.
- Supplier Performance Management: Advocate for business adoption of supplier performance management best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record in supporting complex technology and services deals, managing vendors and budgets, and leading projects, preferably in large tech organizations. Category management experience in technology and sophisticated services is a plus.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities with diverse, complex suppliers, adaptable to various situations.
- Customer Focus: Ability to develop and maintain outstanding customer relationships with accountability and ownership.
- Project Leadership: Experience leading projects from start to finish, managing diverse stakeholders across technology and shared services.
- Communication: Excellent communication and writing skills, tailored to different audiences.
- Business Acumen: Ability to identify risks and connect the dots across functions like finance, legal, contracts management, and technology teams.
- Technical and Business Understanding: Ability to grasp both technical and business requirements from internal customers.
- Influence and Alignment: Proven ability to influence and align with diverse partners.
- Multitasking: Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while focusing on details.
