Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking a 1st Shift Mediablaster to blast our large diesel fuel tanks, steel/aluminum enclosures and steel frames. Responsibilities: Set-up parts and sandblast according to directions Follow safety rules Use personal protective equipment properly Follow directions of lead/supervisor Participate as team member to meet the demands of the customer Requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred 2 to 5 years experience sandblasting in a blast booth in an industrial environment Ability to be certified and drive forklifts and overhead crane Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Experience as a painter helpful
